Activities

  1. Providing scholarships for domestic and overseas students
  2. Grants for Japanese students to aspire to make an international contribution through overseas study (Including donations to independent administrative corporations and public interest institutes (hereinafter referred to as “independent administrative corporations”) as defined in Article 2, Paragraph II of the Independent Administrative Institution Act General Rules and will manage these grants.)
  3. Grants to students/high-school students who find it difficult to attend school due to natural disasters such as earthquakes (including donations to independent administrative corporations who will manage these grants).
  4. Grants related to the training of students or researchers
  5. Other projects necessary to achieve the foundation’s goals

Granting Scholarships

  1. Scholarships for Japanese Students
    From among students recommended by pre-determined private universities, around 10 students are selected based on their potential for international and social contributions, and scholarships are awarded to them.
  2. Scholarships for students who are refugees or recipients of complementary protection.
    Scholarships are awarded to students who have been recognized as refugees or recipients of complementary protection, or who are in financial difficulty and in need of other humanitarian assistance, and who have been recommended through a selection process by humanitarian aid organizations recognized by the Foundation, or by the university they are currently attending or plan to attend.
